Claire Bradley

Claire Bradley, MA, currently works as a researcher in the Learning Technology Research Institute at The University of North London. Her background is in education, particularly in distance learning and the use of multimedia and information and communication technologies (ICT) in teaching and learning. In recent years she has worked on a number of European research projects which focus on using multimedia and the Internet for schools, universities and adult learners.

Mike Davis

Mike Davis PhD born 23.12.1947 is an adult educator and recently appointed senior lecturer in Education at Edge Hill University College in Ormskirk, Lancashire. His recent research has been into online communication in higher education and he is coordinating the discussion forums in the VISIONARY project. He has published extensively on issues related to learning communities in cyberspace.

Anna Hutchinson

Anna Hutchinson, born 23. 11.1977, is currently working as a researcher on the VISIONARY project based at the Learning Technology Research Institute at the University of North London. She has a first degree in English literature and psychology and is undertaking postgraduate study in the area of neuropsychology, focusing on how intervention techniques can be implemented to help combat developmental, neurological and behavioural disorders in children.

Janice Smith

Janice Smith worked on the Visionary project from February to August 2001, when she left UNL. She has a first degree in New Technology and Education and is doing her PhD in the area of information literacy. Other research interests include accessibility (in its broadest sense),notions of gendered technology, and communities of practice/enculturation, and she is currently working on a study investigating what motivates academics to adopt new technologies. Before this, Janice used to teach various aspects of computing/IT in further education.
