João Amado

João Amado, born 06.02.1948, has a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences and a degree in Philosophy. He is Professor at the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. He is the co-ordinator of the Portuguese team of the Visionary project. João Amado has published his doctoral dissertation about 'Interaction and Misbehaviour in the Classroom', and other books and articles in the field of violence in schools, teaching education and infantile ethnography.

Isabel Freire

Isabel Freire, born 22.09.52, has a Ph. D. in Educational Sciences, and her doctoral dissertation is about 'Discipline in school contexts - two case studies'. She is Professor at the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, and member of the Portuguese Visionary project team. Isabel Freire has also published same articles about misbehaviour, violence in schools and teacher education. She has been a member of the Portuguese team in the international project named Thematic Network on Teacher Education in Europe (1997-2000) and in the international project (Portuguese-Luxembourg- Project Plus) in the area of multicultural education (1989-2000), and published articles in the field.

Paulo Goncales

CIW certified member of Informatics and Computer Engineers, in Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa. Former student of Computer Sciences, at Instituto Politécnico da Guarda. Former consultant at Arthur D. Little, Portugal. Co-owner of a IT company (VirtualOdivel) with experience in several web projects and projects in other areas. Project Manager for one of the biggest IT international groups in Portugal (ParaRede). Interests are in IT developments for eduction and in workflow developments to help companies achieve quality certifications.
