European Projects on School Bullying and Violence

In this section you can find information and links to different EU-funded projects on school bullying and violence we have been involved in.

VISTOP

The VISTOP project aims at developing and offering online courses for teachers, parents and policy makers and addresses the issue of school bullying and violence through a whole-school approach.

aVataR@school

The aVataR@School project aims at establishing virtual role plays in which pupils, teachers and others try out strategies for conflict resolution by means of the School Peer Mediation approach. The virtual role plays will be held in Second Life. 

Comparative analysis on methods successfully applied in the fight against bullying

The project aims at developing of training methodologies, specifically addressed to trainers / teachers in the detection of bullying and in the application of concrete responses that will allow them not only to solve the problem once it is detected but also to prevent it.

VISIONARIES-NET

The VISIONARIES-NET (2004-2006) project brought together persons engaged in violence prevention in school and aimed to making them learn from one another. In the course of the project five online conferences were held. Conference reports as well as an eBook that summarises the main outcomes are available at this web site.

VISIONARY

The VISIONARY project (2000-2003) aimed at creating a European online portal on school bullying and violence. Starting with partners from Germany, Denmark, Finland, Portugal and the UK in 2000, it was enhanced by a French, Spanish and Romanian Secion as a part of the VISIONARIES-NET project in 2004.
